the true bread from heaven.”  John 6:32

“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes

in me shall never thirst.’  John 6:35

·     A Personal Invitation

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish

but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

“whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give

him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”   John 4:14

“Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”  John 4:15

“But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.”  John 6:36

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of

Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.”  John 5:38-40

“After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.”  John 6:66

·     A Problematic Revelation challenging

“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

          John 6:37

“… that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people,

zealous for good works.” Titus 2:14

“… able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory

 with exceeding joy,”  Jude 24

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given

Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.”

John 17:1:1-2

“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours,

You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.”  John 17:6

“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are

 Yours.”  John 17:9

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep

Through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was

with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of

them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.”  John 117:11-12

“the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.”

Romans 8:7

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the

things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because,

although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their

thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”  Romans 1:20-21

Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an

image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”

     Romans 1:22-23

“I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him

 you will receive.”  John 5:43

“How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes

from the only God? John 5:44

1) The impossibility of coming to Christ on our own

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last

 day.”  John 6:44

2) The impossibility of being cast out

“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast

 out.”  John 6:37

‘For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5

up on the last day.”  John 6:39

“My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”  John 5:17

“Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said

that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.”  John 5:19

“For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have
